Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files our service places on your device so we can remember who you are and what you prefer. We use them sparingly. This page explains every cookie OnMeet may use and lets you change your preferences whenever you want.

Your current choice

  • Necessary
  • Functional
  • Analytics
  • Marketing

1. The four categories

1.1 Strictly necessary

Required for the app to work; you can't turn them off. Examples:

  • onmeet:auth:v3 — signed-in session. Removed when you log out.
  • onmeet:consent:v1 — this page's cookie choices. Without it we'd ask you every visit.
  • onmeet:theme — light / dark preference.
  • Short-lived JWT refresh + idempotency tokens during authentication.

1.2 Functional

Personalisation that makes the app smoother. On by default; opt out at any time:

  • onmeet:audio-prefs — remembered mic device, output volume, voice-activity threshold.
  • Recent-meetings list cache (so the dashboard paints instantly).
  • Optional cross-meeting memory recall (3 to 5 short facts per meeting carried forward).

1.3 Analytics

Off by default. Only set if you opt in explicitly:

  • Sentry breadcrumbs — performance + crash telemetry. Personal data is stripped before send.
  • Aggregated feature-usage counters (no individual session tracking).

1.4 Marketing

Off by default. Listed here for transparency in case we add any in the future. We do not currently set marketing cookies.

2. How to change your mind

Use the “Open preferences” button above (also available from the footer of every page). Click “Show me the banner again” to reset the decision and re-trigger the consent prompt.

Removing an optional category will not affect your account or your ability to use OnMeet — just the relevant per-category feature.

3. Do Not Track

We respect the DNT header where it's set in your browser by defaulting Analytics + Marketing to off regardless of any prior consent. Necessary + Functional remain on because the app can't function without them.
